Registration Opens for BPC's 2014 Housing Summit

The Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) Housing Commission has announced that early registration is open for the 2014 Housing Summit, a two-day event during which private-sector experts, elected officials, academics, and housing practitioners from across the country will discuss the future of our nation's housing policy. The early registration rate for the summit, which will take place at the Renaissance Washington, D.C. Hotel from September 15 to 16, is $395 per person. Early registration will run to June 1, after which registration will become $495 per person.
The event will build on the work of the BPC Housing Commission whose 21 members, including Alliance President and CEO Nan Roman, have met over the past two years to develop promising approaches to major housing challenges and published the report "Housing America's Future: New Directions for National Policy".

The Alliance has released a resource that provides a brief overview of the history and effectiveness of rapid re-housing. "Rapid Re-Housing: A History and Core Components" is meant to provide context and further elaborate on the Alliance's previously released resource, "Core Components of Rapid Re-Housing," which Alliance experts developed in collaboration with the U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH), the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
