On Thursday, July 24, at 2 p.m. ET, the National Low Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC) will host a webinar designed to educate nonprofit organizations on how they can effectively educate voters and candidates on housing issues for the upcoming midterm elections. During the webinar, "Educating Voters on Housing Issues," speakers will discuss housing as an election issue, the law and general guidelines for remaining nonpartisan as a 501(c)(3), and provide an overview of events and materials that can be used to educate voters and candidates
The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is among the various agencies that appear in a progress report released earlier this month that provides a summary of the 40 major actions President Obama has taken so far this year. The report touches on the Administration's commitment to end veteran homelessness, funding for HUD affordable rental housing projects, low-cost financing to state and local housing finance agencies, and more.
