SSVF Award Announcements
In addition to the $300 million in Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program grant awards announced on August 11, 2014 serving 115,000 Veterans and their family members, today Secretary of Veterans Affairs Robert A. McDonald announced the award of $207 million in SSVF grants that will help an additional 70,000 homeless and at-risk Veterans and their families. The grants will be distributed to 82 non-profit agencies and include "surge" funding for 56 high need communities. The list of awardees has been posted on the VA's SSVF website.
PTSD Resources
The VA National Center on PTSD had some great resources in their e-newsletter today around working with families. This is the link to the online version of the newsletter. HMIS Data Standards
Thanks for attending the webinar last Wednesday. The recording should be posted in the next few weeks. The revised SSVF data guide should also be posted soon. ServicePoint and Data Uploads
A few grantees using ServicePoint whose systems were updated to the new data standards tested their uploads and found that Veteran Status data were missing for many client records. Some part of the move from one Veteran Status for every project entry to only one per client resulted in missing data in the export. SSVF HMIS TA has spoken with ServicePoint, and they are doing a small code update to resolve the issue. Please note that this may take a few days, but it will be in place before the upload deadline.
HHS Subaccount Transfers
Transfers continue to be processed. However, sometimes it can take 4-5 days for the changes to appear. Please review HHS regularly. Thanks for your patience.
HHS Subaccount Set Up for FY2015
Please note that it is absolutely crucial for you to confirm if you are on extension or not in my next email. This will allow us to ensure proper HHS subaccount set up for FY2015. Please remember that this process is manual and not instantaneous so it may take some time for you to have access to your new subaccounts.
Priority 1 and Priority 3
We will be reaching out to grantees who were awarded Priority 1 or Priority 3 funding in the next few days to schedule pre-agreement/resolution calls. It is really important that you respond right away if you receive an email from us regarding either types of these awards.
