SOAR National Policy and Partnerships Coordinator
Congratulations, Jen Elder!

Many of you already know Jen Elder very well. She has been an invaluable member of the SOAR TA Center for the past 4 years. In addition to serving as the technical assistance liaison to 12 states, presenting at Leadership Academies and facilitating planning forums, Jen's role with the TA Center has grown over the last couple of years.
- Jen maintains the content on the SOAR Online Course and website, which includes the addition of new articles and training resources and responding to FAQs.
- Jen trains all reviewers of SOAR Online Course packets, including individual training sessions, creating a 13-page reviewer guide, and monitoring the quality of feedback from new and existing reviewers.
- Jen is the SOAR TA Center Subject Matter Expert on Veteran services, which includes facilitating the HUD-VASH/H-PACT pilot, working with the SSVF program and coordinating with the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans to provide SOAR TA to HVRP grantees.
- Jen has presented at 6 national conferences including APHA (3 years), NCHV (3 years), NAEH (2 years), and HCH (1 year). This has enabled her to network with new federal and regional partners.
In Jen's own words: "I've enjoyed expanding my work into developing and maintaining SOAR content, as well as liaising with federal partners to increase SOAR's visibility in the homelessness policy space." We are honored to have Jen as a member of our team and look forward to all the ways she will help grow the SOAR initiative.
