Mayor Landrieu Announces New Orleans Has Ended Veteran Homelessness New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu announced last week that his city had housed 227 homeless veterans, exceeding its goal of housing the 193 homeless veterans counted in the 2014 homeless census and effectively bringing an end to veteran homelessness in the city.
