The Center for American Progress hosts a discussion on addressing lead exposure in low-income communities with HUD Secretary Julián Castro, as well as a panel of experts who will discuss best practices for creating lead-free homes and working together across sectors to ensure that every child lives in an environment conducive to their success.

The Greater Ohio Policy Center announces that Lavea Brachman, co-founder and executive director, will depart to take a position with the newly established Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation located in Detroit, Michigan, where she will guide efforts in a variety of focus areas including healthy community design and access, and working class families in the regions of southeast Michigan and western New York.

NLIHC welcomes Sarah Mickelson as director of public policy. Mickelson worked previously with Enterprise Community Partners as a senior analyst, as a legislative and policy analyst at the National Community Reinvestment Coalition, and served as policy counsel at Rapoza Associates.
