The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is encouraging Community Planning and Development Program (CPD) formula grantees to undertake comprehensive pre-disaster planning and use their grant funds for both immediate disaster response and long term recovery. Notice CPD-17-06 provides guidance to grantees on how to use CPD formula grant programs to carry out disaster response and recovery activities.
