Advocacy alert spotlight on... Call-In day was a success, but senators still need to hear from you! Yesterday, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) released its report on the Senate’s Better Care Reconciliation Act (BCRA), and estimated that their proposed healthcare overhaul would leave 22 million more people uninsured by 2026. This includes 15 million fewer people receiving coverage as a result of nearly $800 billion in cuts to Medicaid. Medicaid resources are crucial for communities battling homelessness, and these cuts would be devastating to our country’s most vulnerable citizens. It will only take 3 Senators to reject these cuts, and they still need to hear from you.
