On Monday, September 18th, the Alliance is going to be hosting a briefing for Congressional Staff, Local Efforts that are Ending Homelessness and How Congress Can Support Them, sponsored by Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO), Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME), and Sen. Jack Reed (D-RI).
10:30 AM AT THE CAPITOL VISITOR'S CENTER ROOM SVC 210-212
The briefing will update Congress on the progress we have made nationally toward ending homelessness, and what we need to build on it.
We will be highlighting the great work being done at the local level, and asking Congress to support it with leadership and resources, but we need your help getting their attention.
Congress needs to hear how important this work is to you, so we need you to call your Member of Congress and urge them to send their Housing Staffer to our briefing. To learn more about the work we are doing on the Hill this fall, read our latest blog, then click the link below to contact your Members of Congress, and let them know about this valuable opportunity to learn how they can support the great work your community is doing.
