At the Grounded Solutions Network conference Intersections last week in Oakland, there was a visible haze of smoke on the horizon from the nearby Northern California wildfires, and by the final day, a strong smell of it as well. Chip Halbach Anne Mavity MHP
Chip Halbach, founder and longtime executive director of the statewide housing advocacy organization Minnesota Housing Partnership, has retired. Halbach, whose experience and leadership was appreciated in the housing field nationally, has written for Shelterforce and contributed comments to several other Shelterforce stories. MHP’s new director will be Anne Mavity, formerly the director of new projects at Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative.
