Hill Watch: Congressional Leadership Reaches Deal for FY 2017 Spending  House and Senate set to vote on measure this week Sunday night, the leadership of the House and Senate announced an agreement on the particulars of a bill that would provide funding for the remaining portion of FY 2017 for the entirety of the federal government. This came after another in a long line of extensions was passed last week to give Congress more time to reach this deal. The deadline for submitting 2017 Housing Inventory Count (HIC) and Point-in-Time (PIT) count data has been extended to Friday, May 5, 2017 at 7:59:59 PM EDT , due to some technical issues with HUD’s Homelessness Data Exchange (HDX) web portal that have now been resolved. All HIC and PIT Count data must be submitted via HUD’s HDX web portal. Continuums of Care (CoCs) should consider the following issues as they prepare to submit their data. HIC & PIT Count Data in the 2017 CoC Program Competition Meeting the HIC and PIT count data submission deadline is a factor considered by HUD in the annual CoC Program Competition.
