HRI builds the intellectual capital around solutions to homelessness; makes sure policymakers, practitioners, and the caring public have the best information about trends and emerging solutions; and engages the media to ensure the best reporting on the issue. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced that they will be sending new Medicare cards to consumers starting in April 2018. In order to provide uninterrupted access to care, service providers should help consumers prepare for the change. CMS has published resources in English and Spanish to help beneficiaries understand the change. Read more » Webinar: Playing Well in the Sandbox—Cross-Organization and Cross-Program Partnerships On Thursday, February 8 at 12:30 p.m. ET, Alliance expert Ben Cattell Noll will join the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration for a webinar exploring how collaboration between systems, organizations, and programs can increase the capacity of case managers to coordinate services. Common cross-collaborative strategies explored will include exchanging information about services, establishing formal customer referral and follow-up procedures, and leveraging resources.
