New and Competing Continuation Grant Opportunities
SAMHSA Announces New and Competing Continuation Funding Opportunities for the Drug-Free Community Support Program
SAMHSA is accepting applications for the Drug-Free Communities Support Program grants. The program aims to establish and strengthen collaboration among communities, public and private nonprofit agencies, and federal, state, local, and tribal governments to support the efforts of community coalitions working to prevent and reduce substance abuse among youth. The program also seeks to reduce substance abuse among adults by addressing community factors that increase the risk of substance abuse and promoting factors that minimize the risk of substance abuse. SAMHSA expects to fund as many as 120 awards each of both new and competing continuation grants for up to $125,000 per year for up to 5 years.
