HUD recently issued a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for $100 million in new “Mainstream” housing vouchers for nonelderly people with disabilities. View the Office of Housing Choice Vouchers page to access the NOFA, FAQs, and other materials. Public Housing Authorities (PHAs) are eligible to submit applications, due on June 18, 2018 . While not a requirement, HUD is providing points in this competitive process for applications that include partnerships between housing and services agencies, especially those that target housing assistance to assist people with disabilities who are transitioning out of institutional or other segregated settings, at risk of institutionalization, homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless. HUD Conducting Survey of All RRH Programs

In April and May, HUD will be conducting a web-based survey of all rapid re-housing (RRH) programs as part of a national study to explore and document how RRH programs currently serve and interact with homeless households. RRH programs across the country, including Continuum of Care (CoC) program- and Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) program-funded projects, will receive an email from HUD with a link to the web-based survey. The purpose of the study is to allow HUD, as well as researchers and practitioners around the country, to better understand how RRH programs are being implemented nationwide. HUD is looking for your input . To make the results as useful as possible, it is important that all RRH programs complete and submit the survey.
