This interactive workshop will explore the development of an innovative intervention model by Marian Carney of New Beginnings, an agency delivering services to homeless youth and their families since 1980. We will examine aspects of a family mediation model initially utilized almost 20 years ago as well as the process of how it evolved into an effective intervention today that incorporates the agency's models of trauma-informed care.
