The purpose of this program is to support states and tribes with implementing youth suicide prevention and early intervention strategies in schools, educational institutions, juvenile justice systems, substance use programs, mental health programs, foster care systems, and other child and youth-serving organizations.
SAMHSA plans to issue 26 grants of up to $736,000 per year for up to 5 years.

SAMHSA is accepting applications for Sober Truth on Preventing Underage Drinking Act (STOP Act) grants. The goal of this program is to prevent and reduce alcohol use among youth and young adults ages 12-20 in communities throughout the United States. The activities that are implemented in the project will aim to address community norms regarding alcohol use by youth, reduce opportunities for underage drinking by limiting youth access to alcohol, create changes in underage drinking enforcement efforts, address penalties for underage use, and/or reduce the prevalence of negative consequences associated with underage drinking (e.g., motor vehicle crashes, sexual assaults).
SAMHSA plans to issue 20 grants of up to $50,000 per year for up to 4 years.

The purpose of this grant program is to prevent the onset and reduce the progression of substance abuse and its related problems, while strengthening prevention capacity and infrastructure at the community level. The program is intended to address one of the nation's top substance abuse prevention priorities – underage drinking among persons aged 9 to 20.

The purpose of this program is to mobilize resources within and outside of the recovery community to increase the prevalence and quality of long-term recovery support from substance abuse and addiction. The purpose of this program is to promote the wellness of young children, from birth to 8 years of age, by addressing the social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and behavioral aspects of their development. It is expected that this program will provide local communities or tribes the opportunity to disseminate effective and innovative early childhood mental health practices and services, ultimately leading to better outcomes for young children and their families.
