With support from the AARP Foundation, CSH is pleased to announce its next Healthy Aging Academy. Building on several successful local academies on healthy aging, this Academy takes learning and action to the next level by increasing the capacity of supportive, affordable housing and human services providers nationwide to help meet the unique needs of elderly tenants. Through this Academy, participants will:
- Identify and understand common issues associated with aging and homelessness or housing instability.
- Learn best practices and strategies for engaging and advocating for tenants.
- Connect to resources in local communities to better serve aging tenants.
Who Should Attend: This course is ideal for any person working with older adults in housing. Supportive housing workers, service providers connected to housing and property managers will benefit from this course.
Schedule: The Academy will start on November 21, 2019 and run through March 12, 2020, and consists of 8 live virtual webinars. Cost: $350 per person. Although not included in CSH Subscription, current Subscribers receive a $100 discount off the cost of the Academy. Discounts also available for those seeking five or more registrations.
