On September 1, 2020, HUD published Notice CPD-20-08: Waivers and Alternative Requirements for the Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) Program Under the CARES Act. This Notice announces the allocation formula, amounts, and requirements for the additional $3.96 billion in funding provided for the ESG program under the CARES Act. These ESG-CV funds must be used to prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus among individuals and families who are homeless or receiving homeless assistance and to support additional homeless assistance and homelessness prevention activities to mitigate the impacts created by coronavirus. Join the Upcoming Webinar HUD’s Office of Special Needs Assistance Programs (SNAPS) invites homeless assistance providers and their partners to participate in a webinar on Thursday, August 3, 2020 from 1:00 - 2:30 PM EDT. During this 90-minute webinar, participants will hear from experts from HUD discussing the new ESG-CV Notice CPD-20-08. Participants do not need to register in advance.
