The National Human Services Data Consortium (NHSDC) is a collaborative organization that understands the importance of data quality and the value of using valid and reliable data for community planning and performance measurement. NHSDC has worked for over 14 years to deliver conferences that allow Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) professionals to share ideas, current challenges, and best practices while developing a critical network of peer support. The NHSDC has announced the Fall 2020 Virtual Conference Schedule! The conference is unique because it will run from October 5-30, 2020. Resources and sessions will be available throughout October to provide meaningful plenaries, sessions, labs, and networking opportunities. HUD will offer two sessions focused on the CARES Act and eight sessions focused on key topics and issues featured in the SNAPS Data TA Strategy. HUD strongly encourages Continuum of Care (CoC) and HMIS leaders and staff to review this strategy and integrate its vision and goals into their local work. As in the past, this virtual conference is HUD approved. Therefore, HMIS funds awarded under the CoC and Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) Programs may be used to attend the Conference. Projects without funds designated for HMIS can use admin funds to attend this event.
Special Note: ESG-CV funds awarded under the CARES Act may be used for the NHSDC Conference, following all the requirements in the ESG Notice.
