NEW: FY2021 VA Data Guide
The updated VA Data Guide describes data management expectations for SSVF grantees that are required to participate in HMIS. The guide conveys information regarding the tools needed to properly meet HMIS requirements and manage program data. The reporting requirements in 38 CFR 62.71 have been designed to provide VA with the information needed to assess the outcomes associated with grantees' programs. As a result of this, VA anticipates grantees' programs will assist in reducing the number of Veteran families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
New in FY2021, is an updated the SSVF Reports section to include the Monthly Report and added information on how to record V2 "Services Provided - referrals to VA health care" which will assist SSVF Health Care Navigators in documenting their activity in HMIS.
The FY2021 VA Data Guide is located on the SSVF website and can be found using the link below:

RESOURCE:VA Medical Legal Partnerships
Grantees are strongly encouraged to provide legal services to assist participants with issues that interfere with participants' ability to obtain or retain permanent housing or supportive services (38 CFR Part 62.33). Grantees may provide legal services directly, either through in-house council or by contract, with the legal service linked to housing stability. The Office of General Council provided a list of current VA Medical Legal Partnerships available at: https://www.va.gov/ogc/docs/LegalServices.pdf, located at: https://www.va.gov/OGC/LegalServices.asp
REMINDER: SSVF 2020 Virtual Permanent Housing Conference – Registration is Now Open
SSVF Grantees were sent instructions on October 23rd from our partners at the SSVF@tacinc.org group regarding the two step SSVF 2020 Virtual Permanent Housing Conference registration process. It is important to review that email regarding registrations and obtaining Continuing Education Credits based on event attendance. Event sessions will run from November 9, 2020 through November 20, 2020 on a variety of topics relevant to your daily work with homeless Veterans. Note: due to the conference being virtual, we are strongly encouraging Grantees to support as many staff as possible to attend the event.
