2020 has been a year of many things—including a whole lot of virtual conferences and webinars replacing our standard in-person gatherings. A silver lining to not being able to travel has been being able to drop in on rich, fascinating conversations in all parts of the country.
But despite the amazing work of the conference planners, there has been one thing we’ve been missing in the virtual world: bumping into our colleagues in the hallways and catching up, meeting someone new at the reception and making a connection, open ended discussions with people who understand our work after hours.
