HUD’s Office of Special Needs Assistance Programs (SNAPS) wants to thank you for your tremendous efforts to keep those experiencing homelessness safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. Considering the level of effort and coordination for the Longitudinal System Analysis (LSA) submission process, the Point-in-Time (PIT) count planning, and responding to potential increases in COVID-19 cases in some regions of the country, HUD has approved an extension until January 15, 2021 for the completion of the LSA Data Validation process. HUD’s Annual Homeless Assessment Report (AHAR) team members will continue to assist with one-on-one support throughout this process, and HUD will make available additional support as needed. Continuums of Care (CoCs) are encouraged to use the time from now until December 22, 2020 to address as many of the issues identified in your Errors/Warnings files as possible. If you can, please address data quality issues and reupload. Please also use this time to provide notes in response to warning flags on your Errors/Warnings files. These notes are critical to our understanding of this data. As resolved notes on your Errors/Warnings file will be removed and considered cleared, it is important that CoCs provide notes on an iterative basis so that data liaisons can communicate about, and subsequently clear, the warning flags. Modified Data Quality Checks Schedule To accommodate the upcoming deadline during the holiday season, we will be doing a modified schedule of data quality checks. Communities can expect to receive new Errors/Warnings files on: For datasets uploaded by: | Error/Warnings will be posted on: | Tuesday, December 22, 2020 3:00 PM EST | Wednesday, December 23, 2020 | Saturday, December 26, 2020 12:00 PM EST | Monday, December 28, 2020 | Tuesday, December 29, 2020 3:00 PM EST | Wednesday, December 30, 2020 | Saturday, January 2, 2021 12:00 PM EST | Monday, January 4, 2021 | Tuesday, January 5, 2021 3:00 PM EST | Wednesday, January 6, 2021 | Error/Warning files will then be pulled normally at 3:00 PM EST on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning again on January 5, 2021. Thank you again for your partnership and incredible work to resolve as many of the data quality issues as possible and for your ongoing commitment to maintaining high quality data to better understand and progress towards ending homelessness.
